each. June Through August 2009 CHETEK HYDROFLITES WATER SKI SHOW every Thursday and Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at their show site adjacent to the airport boat landing on Lakeview Drive.
May29-May 31 CAMERAMA DAYS will be held for three straight days. Street dances with live music, softball tournament, parades, kids carnival, horseshoe tournament, waterfights, car show, & horsepull. June 5 - 14 RICE LAKE AQUAFEST The City of Rice Lake celebrates the return of summer and our good fortune in living here in this beautiful area. The annual Aquafest features several days of national bands, food, fun, softball tournaments, golf tournament, a parade, kiddie parade, kids games, and a carnival. June 6
MISS CHETEK PAGEANT and Little Miss Pageant 7:00 p.m. at the High School Friday, July 3 Saturday, July 4 Independence Day breakfast at the Masonic Lodge (7 - 11 a.m.); Quilt show; Horseshoe- pitching Ccontest: Vintage Voyagers' Blast From The Past Car Show (from 9 to 3 p.m.); Wisconsin Indian Head Country's Art & Craft Fair (10 a.m. to 4 p.m.), Parade (12 noon); Beach Party with music by THE TWERPS (2 - 6 p.m.) and $500 Liberty Fest button drawing (5 p.m.); Chetek Hydroflites Water Ski Show (6:30 pre-show; 7 p.m. themed show); Slow-Pitch Softball Tournament ; Fireworks shot over Chetek Lake at Dusk. Sunday, July 5 Slow-Pitch Softball Tournament Begins at 8 a.m., Quilt Show, Wisconsin Indian Head Country's Art & Craft Fair 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Wisconsin Horse Pullers Association Sponsored Horse Pull at noon, Chetek Hydroflites Water Ski Show (6:30 Pre-show; 7 p.m. Themed Show) Saturday, July 4 Get in your airplane and fly in to enjoy the festivities of Liberty Fest in Chetek. Starting at 9 am is a car show by the Vintage Voyagers car club. In the park adjacent to the airport is a huge Art and Craft fair and show. Just one block west of the airport is a professional horse pull, and in the afternoon is a water ski show on the east edge of the airport property put on by Chetek’s own Hydroflites. There will be plenty of food and drink available throughout the day. Where else can you fly your airplane and do so many things for the whole family for the entire day all within walking distance of your airplane? July 11 12 th ANNUAL BREW-RIB FEST at Phillips Park (adjacent to the city beach) with live music by The Jerry West Band from 1-6 p.m. Admission is $30 ($35 at the gate) for adults over the age of 21. Admission includes beer samples, as well as rib samples from teams taking part in this year's RIB FEST COMPETITION. July 11 -12 HERITAGE DAYS at the Pioneer Village Museum in Cameron from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 15 -19 BARRON COUNTY FAIR at the Fairgrounds in Rice Lake.
Crazy Days, area businesses selling merchandise on the side walk. Sunday, August 9, 2009 Fly-in at Chetek, Wisconsin Southworth Municipal airport (Y23) will have a BBQ fly-in. Starting at 10:30 A.M. there will be Warbird displays, antique and unique airplanes, antique & collector car displays and raffles for airplane rides. All proceeds will be given to local charities.
